Magical May Day It’s that time of year again. The Capital Area Professional Magicians - IBM Ring 20 SAM Assembly 110 is proud to present its Magical May Day Convention & Show, Saturday May 1st 2010. The doors open at 9:00am to a wonderful collection of events and fun. This year we have the honor of having 2 very special guest lecturers, Bro Gilbert & Harry Anderson. Many of may have heard of Bro from his amazing success with the True Astonishment DVD set released by Paul Harris a few years ago. This was a long awaited series and Bro’s work was very well received. We invite you to join us as he lectures on some of his choice effects as well as a number of other topics. Of course a performer of Harry Anderson’s caliber needs no introduction. From the streets to the big screen Harry has seen & done more than most of us can imagine. So come to May Day and enjoy a fun filled day of magic & memories. Lectures are not the only thing on the agenda for May Day, we have a Close-Up Show, Magic Auction, and a wonderful group of dealers showcasing the latest magical effects and gimmicks and a star studded evening show that is sure to please. We are also offering again this year a buffet style dinner to everyone who pre-registers and we’ll even throw in lunch too. As an added treat Harry Anderson will be offering a special workshop on the Magic Square the evening before May Day for a small additional fee. It gets better; Bro Gilbert will also offer a workshop the day after the convention. He will be going more in depth with some of his favorite effects as well as covering some additional material.
